On March 28, Mike and Alicia Hernon, co-founders of the Messy Family Project and parents of ten, will present a two-part workshop: “Messy Parenting 101” and “Keeping Love Alive” at St. Pius X Catholic Church.
The afternoon will include discussion, Q&A, and a social.
Cost is $10/person. Childcare is FREE but you must register by March 22!
Who are Mike and Alicia Hernon?
Michael & Alicia Hernon are on a mission to empower parents, strengthen marriage, and bring families to Christ throughout their ministry, the Messy Family Project. The Hernons have traveled within the United States and around the world giving encouragement and seeking to spark a conversation between spouses on how to be the best parents for their children. Parents of 10 children and grandparents to 3, Mike and Alicia offer down to earth, practical insights into family life through their website and podcast, which is downloaded over 20,000 times every month. Sharing wisdom borne from experience, Mike and Alicia share practical advice, encouragement, and tools to enable spouses to collaborate so they can make a plan to parent their children without losing their mind.

The grace to be a mother or father comes from the Sacrament of Marriage. Realizing this is the first step to become an effective parent. When parents strengthen their marriage they are able to love their children more effectively and create a community of faith and love within the home. In this session, Mike and Alicia remind couples of the beauty of marriage, give practical ways to renew the well and demonstrate the effect marriage has on the culture within the family.
